Nature Art Photo Cards - Made by Our Young Activists

$35.00

Photo description: photos of things found in nature, arranged into pleasing patterns; printed and made into a card attached to white stock paper.

Every summer, young activists from our two partner schools join us in Vermont for a 4-day Activism Retreat. They play, dialogue, connect, learn about one another, build their activism skills and work on social justice concerns that are important to them. The students come from near and far - as close as Fairlee, VT and as far away as Los Angeles, CA.

At our 2015 Retreat youth from Buffalo, WY and Essex Junction, VT took a Nature Art Photography class with Teacher Odenbach. They spent time in nature arranging items to their liking, learning more about cameras, and taking these wonderful photos. These type of classes come from a belief that when we stretch ourselves, we build the confidence and competence to succeed in our activism goals. We also believe that as activists we need to invest in our own self care, in order to stay healthy while dealing with the toll that these social issues can take. Working in the arts and spending time in nature are two great ways to self care.

These photo notecards are a result of the students’ work, which they have kindly made available to sell. They’re great to have around the house for attaching to a gift, sending a note, hanging on the fridge or giving to a loved one. Your purchase supports our always-entirely-free programming for Peace, Justice, Youth Activism and Food Security.

Each Nature Art boxed set comes with 6 cards (1 of each design shown in photos) and priority mail shipping is included in the purchase price.
